OUR TEAM

Here at Strawberry Fields Stud we aim to create a calm, happy, fun atmosphere that allows our residents, be it mares, foals, yearlings, resting racehorses or retirees to thrive.  We are a small, close-knit team with all the relevant skills and experience required to produce and raise exceptional equine athletes.

GARY ROBINSON- OWNER

My main role is to maintain and grow the Stud's understanding of how to produce excellent broodmares.

This has become our vision, which hopefully has allowed the team to flourish with their specialist skills and knowledge. It gives me great pleasure knowing that the Stud will always maintain good working ethics and morals, both for our horses and the team.

I have lived in and around the horse racing world for the last 30 years and have extensively travelled internationally researching the ancient blood lines and modern breeding techniques that can be incorporated into our industry.

NICK MOORE- BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Nick comes from a line of Black Type horsemen and a strong racing heritage; with his Sire having ridden in the 1968 Grand National.

After winning numerous Point-to-points at the age of sixteen, Nick joined the legendary Martin Pipe as Stable Amateur Jockey.

Whilst at Pipe’s, Nick won plenty of races including the SW Championship, a 2nd and 3rd at the Cheltenham Festival and even with a winner on the Flat before struggling to do the weight.

After gaining a degree from Durham University and a few years in the City, Nick returned to racing to become Assistant Trainer to the five time All-Weather Champion Trainer Nick Littmoden for three years and an enjoyable spell with Marco Botti in Newmarket.
