It is very hard as a small stud to breed horses to win good races and so here at Strawberry Fields we are exceptionally proud to have bred the 2022 Derby winner Desert Crown. It started off with the purchase of Foreign Language for very little money and a mating with Green Desert led to the arrival of Desert Berry in 2009. It was thirteen years later that Desert Crown triumphed at Epsom on the famous Downs and fulfilled a lifelong dream for his Breeder Gary Robinson. Gary has always had an affinity with middle distance horses and we are now breeding from Desert Crown's sisters as well as a handful of other mares to try and produce our next star. Here is an article written by the Horse & Hound on Desert Crown. https://www.horseandhound.co.uk/news/watch-derby-favourite-desert-crown-take-his-first-steps-as-a-foal-790515
