It has been a good past few weeks for the stud. My Mate Kev got his head in front at Newmarket over 6 furlongs under a positive and uncomplicated ride from up and coming Apprentice Fred Daley, son of former Trainer Declan Daley. He jumped well from his low draw and maintained his position until he edged to the front between the 3f and 2f markers. The son of Acclaim was not for catching and showed a lovely attitude to forge clear and win by a cosey 2 and a quarter lengths.

We have My Mate Kev's dam Quick Thought on the stud. Her dam Contemplate is a half-sister to Scarlett Rose who is the dam of multiple Group 1 winner and notable Stallion, Blue Point. She has a yearling by Bobby's Kitten and a foal by Rajasinghe. Having foaled late this year, we are going to give her a rest and send her to a commercial mating in 2026.

Salve Venezia a relatively recent recruit, had a lovely Black Type update when her daughter Santagada won a fillies' Classic Trial at Cologne over a mile. Santagada won a Group 3 over 7f at 2 and we hope she will get further Black Type in due course. Another recent purchase in Ajaxana also had a Black Type update when her son Havandi won a Listed contest over a mile at Jagersro.
